CIBC’s Money Market group is responsible for the origination, trading, and distribution of short-term debt instruments to a broad spectrum of clients across Canada and the United States.

We offer a comprehensive list of money market products including:

• Government of Canada treasury bills
• Federally-guaranteed agency debt
• Provincial debt securities
• Bankers Acceptances
• Corporate and asset-backed commercial paper
• Medium term and floating-rate notes (typically less than 3 years)
• REPO rate agreements

Sales

Our Money Market Sales team distributes short-term debt instruments to investors including large institutional clients, small businesses and retail accounts. We provide investment solutions encompassing the resources of Fixed Income, Currencies & Distribution, which include money market and fixed income products, derivatives and leading research.

Trading

The Money Market Trading desk is responsible for the market making of domestic Canadian and U.S. dollar short-term debt instruments. Our Money Market Trading specialists have significant experience in structuring innovative transactions to meet our clients' individual needs.
