Drew Stewart

Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Financial Officer, CIBC World Markets

Mr. Stewart is Chief Administrative Officer and the Chief Financial Officer of CIBC World Markets. In this role, he is responsible for: the administration of all infrastructure and support groups for CIBC World Markets; analyzing, developing and implementing projects to advance business initiatives; and ensuring that the firm maintains appropriate control and governance processes.

Mr. Stewart has held a variety of positions at CIBC World Markets, including Chief Financial Officer of the firm's Canadian businesses, and Head of CIBC's Financial and Strategic Business Analysis Group.

Mr. Stewart joined CIBC World Markets in 1999, after having been a partner at an international public accounting firm. In 2001, he joined the Institutional Equities division as the Chief Administrative Officer, and was named as the Chief Administrative Officer of the Global Equities Division in 2002.

Mr. Stewart obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Windsor, and he is a Chartered Accountant.
